Terms & Conditions of usage
These terms apply to everyone who uses Farco Connect — hirers, providers, workers and members. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“terms”) govern your use of Farco Connect — the website and app at farcoconnect.com (the “platform”), operated by Farcoconnect Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 17478066 (“Farco Connect”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, posting a listing, sending a booking request or using any part of the platform, you agree to these terms. If you use Farco Connect on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
2. What Farco Connect is — and is not
Farco Connect is a marketplace that connects people and businesses who need land, labour, storage, materials, equipment, transport or services with those who provide them.
Farco Connect is not a party to any agreement between a hirer (buyer) and a provider. When a booking is made, the contract for the work or hire is formed directly between the hirer and the provider, on the terms they agree (including the contract terms recorded on the platform).
Farco Connect does not employ providers, own the land or equipment listed, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality or suitability of any listing, worker or booking. We provide the platform, verification checks, escrow payment handling and dispute support described in these terms.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Farco Connect.
You agree to give accurate, current and complete information when creating an account and to keep it up to date, including your business details, contact information and payout details.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
One person or business may not hold multiple accounts without our written agreement.
4. Listings and content you post
You are responsible for everything you post: listings, requirement posts, availability, rates, photos, messages, reviews and profile details. It must be accurate, lawful and not misleading.
Listings must describe real, available capacity or services. Listings must show an approximate area only — exact addresses and contact details must not be included in public listings, and are shared after a booking is confirmed.
You keep ownership of the content you post, but you give Farco Connect a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it on the platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
We may edit, hide or remove any listing or content that breaks these terms, is unlawful, misleading or harms the platform or its users, and we may warn, suspend or close accounts that repeatedly breach these terms.
5. Bookings
A booking starts when a hirer sends a request with dates, quantity and an estimated total. It becomes a confirmed booking when the provider accepts and the payment is authorised.
The hirer and provider should agree the practical details — access, timing, supervision, insurance for the specific job — through the platform’s coordination messages so there is a record.
Either side may cancel a booking before payment is confirmed. After payment is held, the cancellation and refund policy shown at checkout and on the booking applies.
Providers must deliver what the listing and confirmed booking promise. Hirers must provide safe access and conditions reasonably required for the work, and pay the agreed amount.
6. Payments, escrow and fees
Booking payments are taken through our payment provider and held securely (“escrow”) — not paid straight to the provider. Funds are released to the provider when the hirer marks the work complete.
When a booking payment is released, Farco Connect deducts a service fee of 5% of the booking total, except where both the hirer and provider have active launch trials at checkout: those bookings have a 15% commission instead, and the provider receives 85%. The fee is recorded when checkout starts and remains unchanged for that payment even if a trial ends before release. It is deducted once from the provider payout, not added to the buyer total. Full refunds of held payments have no retained commission.
Providers receive their payouts through a connected payout account (Stripe Connect). A booking payment cannot be released until the provider’s payout account is set up and able to receive transfers. The provider pays any charges their own bank or country applies to receiving money.
If the hirer and provider cannot agree that work is complete, the payout is paused while Farco Connect support reviews the case (see section 11).
Refunds of held payments go back to the original payment method. Payment records created on the platform form part of the booking history and may be used to resolve disputes.
You are responsible for your own taxes (income tax, corporation tax, VAT or equivalent) arising from bookings made through Farco Connect. Prices are shown in the currency selected; currency conversion charges may apply.
7. Membership plans
Farco Connect offers a free plan and paid membership plans (Professional, Business, Enterprise). Current prices are shown on the membership page before you pay.
The first 1,000 new accounts created after the launch promotion begins receive six calendar months of Professional access automatically from account creation. Existing accounts are excluded. Trial places are allocated in sign-up order, one per account, and do not become available again if an account is closed. No card is required. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid membership: purchase a plan when the trial ends to retain paid features. Bookings between two active trial members are subject to the 15% commission in section 6. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional trials is prohibited.
Paid memberships are purchased one month or one year at a time and are not auto-renewing subscriptions. Your paid period runs from the date of payment, and you renew manually when it ends.
Membership fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable once the paid period has started, except where required by law. Benefits apply for the length of the paid period.
We may change membership prices or benefits, but changes will not affect a period you have already paid for.
8. Verification and compliance
Farco Connect offers verification levels based on identity checks, company registration, trade documents, insurance and booking history. Verification shows what we have checked — it is a signal, not a guarantee.
You must hold and keep valid any licences, certifications, insurance and registrations required for the work you offer in the countries you operate in (for example waste carrier registration, operator competency records or biosecurity plans, depending on the country and category).
For cross-border bookings, the parties are responsible for work authorisation, customs paperwork, insurance validity and import permits. Farco Connect may ask for evidence before a cross-border booking is confirmed.
We may request documents or information at any time to verify your account, and may suspend bookings or accounts that do not comply.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use Farco Connect to: break any law or regulation; offer or request illegal goods, work or services; evade taxes; launder money; or breach sanctions.
You must not: take bookings or payments off-platform to avoid the service fee; spam or harass other users; scrape, copy or resell platform data; interfere with the platform’s security or availability; or misrepresent your identity, insurance or qualifications.
Payments, messages and records on Farco Connect may be reviewed for fraud and abuse.
10. Reviews
Reviews must be honest, based on a real booking, and free of abuse, personal attacks and confidential information.
We may remove reviews that breach these terms. You cannot pay for, trade or suppress reviews.
11. Disputes
If something goes wrong with a booking, the hirer and provider should first try to resolve it through the platform’s coordination messages.
Either side can escalate to Farco Connect support. Escalating a dispute pauses the escrow payout until the case is reviewed. We may ask both sides for evidence (messages, photos, documents) and decide how the held funds should be released or refunded.
Farco Connect’s decision on the release of escrowed funds is final as between the platform and its users, without affecting any rights the parties have against each other directly.
12. Intellectual property
The Farco Connect name, logo, design, software and content on the platform are owned by Farco Connect or licensed to us. You may not copy or use them outside the platform without our written permission.
13. Privacy and data
We handle personal data according to our Privacy Policy. Listings show approximate areas only; exact location details are shared between the parties after a booking is confirmed.
Verification documents you upload are visible only to you and to Farco Connect staff with a legitimate need, and are used for verification and compliance purposes.
14. Liability
Farco Connect provides the platform “as is” and works to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, Farco Connect is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of listings, the performance of bookings, the accuracy of user content, or any loss of profit, business, contracts or goodwill arising from use of the platform.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the total service fees you paid to Farco Connect in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, if you are on a paid membership, the fees you paid in that period).
You agree to cover Farco Connect against claims from other users or third parties arising from your content, your bookings or your breach of these terms.
15. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Farco Connect at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, fail verification we have requested, or if we are legally required to.
If your account is closed, bookings already paid and held in escrow will still be handled according to section 6, and any money you are owed will be paid after we have completed any checks we need to make.
16. Changes to these terms and the service
We may update these terms from time to time. We will publish the new version on this page with an updated date, and for significant changes we will notify account holders. Continuing to use Farco Connect after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
We are also developing and improving the platform continuously, and may add, change or remove features.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not affect mandatory consumer or business protections in your own country.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms, a booking or a dispute can be raised through the platform’s support channels or in writing to Farcoconnect Limited (company number 17478066).
